Day 5 - Forgiveness

As citizens of this great country we have sat back and allowed the government to remove God from everything. The mention of Jesus in any public space is considered an incitement of aggression. Our country as well a the world has become a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah. We must ask for forgiveness to reverse course.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7: 14 NIV

“Therefore, repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;” Acts 3:19 NASB

“Do not remember the iniquities of our forefathers against us; Let your compassion come quickly to meet us. For we are brought very low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; And deliver us and forgive our sins for Your name’s sake. Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Let there be known among the nations in our sight. Vengeance for the blood of Your servants which has been shed.” Ps. 79:8-10

“Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.” Acts 10:43

“for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.” Matthew 26:28 NASB
