Day 4 - God Chooses our Leaders

Day 4 is a reminder that God chooses our leaders. Some leaders He chooses to reward a nation for keeping God in His rightful place among the nation. Some leaders he chooses to remind the nation, what life is like when we take God out of our nation. We were created for God’s purpose.

“For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for Him.” Col. 1: 16 NIV

“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.” Isaiah 9: 6-7

“Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness.” Heb. 5: 1-2 NIV

“So the Lord said to Solomon, “Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant and My statues, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant.” 1Kings 11:11 NASB

 “Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven,” Genesis 19:24 NASB
